Brian Lyght, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Brian is currently the Chief Operating Officer at the Center for Urban Families, where they lead all internal operations and manages the organization's senior staff. Brian's extensive experience includes roles such as Senior Associate at Annie E. Casey Foundation, where they managed a grant portfolio and administered youth development programs, and Program Director at Enterprise Community Partners, where they provided strategic direction to transform disaffected neighborhoods. Earlier in their career, Brian worked at CoreStates Bank, Massachusetts Community Development Finance Corporation, and PaineWebber, Incorporated in various roles. Brian Lyght, MBA has a diverse education history. In 1983, they began their undergraduate studies at Hofstra University in Banking and Finance, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 1987. Afterward, they pursued further education at The Wharton School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from 1989 to 1991. Most recently, in 2020, Brian attended Georgetown University to attain an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management.

The Center for Urban Families (CFUF) is an independent 501(c) 3 organization located in Baltimore, MD. CFUF specializes in servicing the needs of Baltimore’s most hard-to-reach populations, including the formerly incarcerated, those with a prior history of substance abuse, and low-income, non-custodial fathers. Since 1999, we've maintained an unwavering focus on addressing the key challenges of Baltimore’s urban families by working to connect fathers to their children, creating opportunities for economic and financial security through work, and providing access to other key interventions and supportive services. Our core mission is to strengthen urban communities by helping fathers and families achieve stability and economic success. All In is the Center for Urban Families’ comprehensive strategy to accelerate social and economic opportunity and advocate for policies that promote equity and racial justice. Leveraging 20 years of positive impact and applied learnings, the All In strategy targets two critical areas: chronic unemployment and family instability. The approach links individual accountability, person-centered case management, and supportive networks with workforce development training, education, and civic engagement. All In dismantles poverty and builds long-term social and economic prosperity that results in brighter futures for our members, their families, and the communities in which they live. CFUF works with 1,400 men and women each year through comprehensive program offerings that are designed to help individuals and families attain and sustain economic self-sufficiency.
