Claire Heyison is a Senior Policy Analyst focused on Health Insurance and Marketplace Policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities since September 2022. Center on Budget and Policy Priorities is a non-profit, non-partisan policy organization working at the federal and state levels on fiscal policy and public programs that affect low- and moderate-income families and individuals.The center conducts research and analysis to help shape public debates over proposed budget and tax policies andensure that policymakers consider the needs of low-income families and individuals in these debates. In addition, the center examines the short- and long-term impacts of proposed policies on the health of the economy and the soundness of federal and state budgets.The center is dedicated to improving government policies toward low- and middle-income Americans and ensuring that the government has the resources to meet its responsibilities and address critical needs. It also helps other non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C. and across the country participate effectively in policy debates over budget priorities and reduce poverty and inequality.Center on Budget and Policy Priorities was founded in December 1981 and is based in Washington, District of Columbia.
