Gayle Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 1995, they worked as a Senior Database Administrator at the Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care until December 1997. Following that, they joined Home Access Health Corporation as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President from January to June 1998. Later in 1998, they joined McKesson Health Solutions as a Senior Software Support professional until December 2001. Gayle then moved to the Center on Halsted in February 2002, where they held the position of Director of Cyber Center and Center on E-Learning. Gayle's work experience showcases their expertise in various fields such as database administration, software support, and executive assistance.

Gayle Thompson completed their education at three different institutions. Gayle first attended City Colleges of Chicago-Kennedy-King College from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Science. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology at Western Illinois University, which they completed between 2013 and 2014. Finally, Gayle Thompson continued their education at Western Illinois University from 2015 to 2017, earning a Graduate degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

Center on Halsted

Center on Halsted is the Midwest's most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community. More than 1,000 community members visit the Center every day, located in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview Neighborhood. We work hard to provide a safe and welcoming environment with programs and services for the entire community. Our programs range from volleyball, dance performances and cooking classes to rapid HIV testing, group therapy and vocational training. In addition, we partner regularly with other organizations and groups from across Chicago and the nation to provide additional programming for the community. Free wi-fi access is available throughout the building including our lobby, reading library and our rooftop terrace. We also offer meeting and reception space, with special discounts for non-profit community groups.
