Melissa Nelson

Melissa Nelson has a diverse professional background with a focus on editing and project management. Currently, Melissa serves as Editor for The Rhode Island Family Guide since March 2022. At CenterPoint Energy, Melissa has held multiple roles since September 2020, including Project Team Lead for Texas Contract Services, where responsibilities included creating and escalating production processes, as well as serving as Quality Control Specialist III, focusing on data quality and database management. Previous experience includes work as a GIS Specialist at Apple from April 2019 to August 2020, managing content analysis for the Apple Maps app, and as a GIS Technician at CenterPoint Energy, ensuring data integrity for gas distribution facilities. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Gustavus Adolphus College and has studied at Uppsala University.
