Roland E. Deike

Roland E. Deike, Jr., P.E. is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over three decades in the electric utility sector. Currently serving as the Director of Major Underground Operations at CenterPoint Energy since April 2001, Roland oversees the planning and additions of distribution electric infrastructure in the Houston metroplex area. Roland E.'s previous roles at CenterPoint Energy include Manager positions for Substation Projects and Distribution Planning for the Northern Region, alongside managing major underground engineering projects. Prior to CenterPoint Energy, Roland held various engineering positions at Houston Lighting & Power from May 1990 to April 2001, including Lead Engineer for Distribution Planning in the Southern Region. Roland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, completed in 1990, and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1985.
