As Medical Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program and TMS Services, Dr. Kulkarni has extensive experience in psychiatric disorders among seniors. From 1999 to 2002, he was Director of Geriatric Psychiatry Services and Associate Medical Director for Deaconess Cross Pointe in Evansville. He was the Director of Geriatric Psychiatry Services at Wirth Regional Hospital in Oakland City, IN. Dr. Kulkarni provided care at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO, serving as co-Medical Director of the Adult Stress Unit and then Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry in the mid-1990s.
Dr. Kulnarni provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) at CenterPointe Hospital and has completed the NeuroStar clinical training program and is authorized to provide TMS. Dr. Kulkarni is also the Medical Director of the Progressive Partial Hospitalization Program at CenterPointe.
Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as by the American Board of Acupuncture Medicine, Dr. Kulkarni earned his medical degree from Karnatak University in Belgaum, India in 1972.
In addition to his appointment at CenterPointe, Dr. Kulkarni also is a member of Psych Care Consultants, the region’s largest psychiatric private group practice. Prior to joining CenterPointe, he served as the Medical Director for Consolidated Behavioral Health Services in Evansville, IN.
