Heather Craig-Oldsen has over three decades of extensive experience in grant writing, consulting, and education within the field of child welfare. Currently serving as a Writer and Consultant at Grant Writing & Consulting since 1986, Heather specializes in developing and reviewing grant proposals, as well as providing consultation and training to child welfare agencies. Additionally, since 2004, Heather has been a Grant Reviewer and Panel Chair for the ACYF Children's Bureau, facilitating discretionary grant funding reviews. Notably, Heather was involved with the Community Initiative for Native Children and Families from 2007 to 2020 and held the position of Professor Emerita at Briar Cliff University from 2004 to 2016, where duties included chairing the social work department and directing programs. In the earlier role as Associate Director at the Child Welfare Institute from 1986 to 2004, Heather focused on curriculum development and organizational improvement. Educational credentials include a Master of Social Work from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a BA from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
