Richard Case has spent over 20 years executing a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and special assignments for clients across a broad range of sectors.

Several high profile transactions and situations include advising Gillette on its $57bn sale to Procter & Gamble; Lorillard on its $27bn sale to Reynolds American and related $7bn sale of assets to Imperial; Perrigo on over $2.5bn of transactions including its $1.6bn divestiture of its generic pharmaceutical business, purchase of Ranir, divestiture of Rosemont Pharmaceuticals, and minority investment in Kazmira; Heinz in its proxy contest with Trian Partners; Howard Hughes Corporation on its strategic review; Iron Mountain on its purchase of IO Data Centers US Operations; Liz Claiborne’s divestiture of 9 of its 34 brands; numerous transactions for Avon, including its pending two-part transaction with Cerberus involving a convertible preferred minority investment and the separation of Avon North America into a privately-held company, its purchase of Liz Earle Beauty Co. Ltd. and its transactions with Silpada Designs; mcgarrybowen’s sale to Dentsu; Textronics’ sale to adidas AG; Maidenform’s IPO (lead underwriter); DirecTV’s conversion of Class B stock; Polo Ralph Lauren’s purchases of its South Korean, childrenswear, footwear, and jeans licenses; Wrigley’s special dividend of Class B stock; various debt issuances for Colgate-Palmolive and Procter & Gamble; unit offerings for several master limited partnerships, including Star Gas Partners, Buckeye Partners, and Enbridge Energy Partners; and Anglo-Suisse on its private placement of equity.

Prior to joining Centerview Partners at its founding, Mr. Case was a Director at UBS Investment Bank in the Consumer & Retail Group, having joined in the Energy & Power Group.

Mr. Case holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
