Nicolas Vandeweerdt has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Nicolas is currently the Managing Director at Centiva Capital since June 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at BNP Paribas, including Director and Deputy Head of Trading Risk and Resources Strategy from July 2019 to April 2021. In this role, they were responsible for front office risk management, XVA trading, and financial resources management. Before that, they served as Director and Head of Trading, Risk, and Strategies + xVA - Americas from September 2016 to July 2019, overseeing counterparty risk, resources pricing policy, and derivative pricing setup. Nicolas also worked as Director, Head of Trading, Risk, and Strategies - Americas from June 2015 to September 2016, leading risk management efforts. Prior to these roles, they served as a Director and Trader of USD Vanilla Interest Rate derivatives and Vice President, Trader of USD Structured Interest Rate Derivatives. Nicolas joined BNP Paribas as an AVP in Global Markets Development in 2003. Before joining BNP Paribas, they worked as a Consultant at Capco, focusing on financial engineering, risk management, and software deployment and integration.

Nicolas Vandeweerdt began their education in 1995 at the University of Antwerp, where they pursued a degree in Handelsingenieur (Quantitative Management). Nicolas completed their studies in 2000.

In 1998, Nicolas participated in an exchange program at WFI - Ingolstadt School of Management, where they focused on Applied Economics during a semester abroad.

The following year, in 1999, they attended the University of Florida as part of an exchange semester. During their time there, Nicolas engaged in coursework in both the MBA Program and the School of Engineering.

In 2001, Nicolas continued their education at New York University, where they enrolled in the Mathematical Finance program. Nicolas obtained their M.Sc. degree in this field of study in 2002.
