Jorge Pinto Basto

Jorge Pinto Basto has extensive work experience in the medical genetics field. Jorge started their career in 2013 at CGC Genetics / CGC Centro Genetica Clinica, where they held roles as the Molecular diagnostics & Clinical genomics labs director and Clinical Director until 2021. In 2021, they joined CENTOGENE as a Senior Medical Director. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Medical Genetics at CENTOGENE, starting from May 2023.

Jorge Pinto Basto obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1999 from the Universidade do Porto, specializing in the field of Medicine.
