Artak Baghdasaryan has a diverse work experience in the banking, auditing, and academic fields. ARTAK started their career in 2007 as a Banking Technology Specialist at the Central Bank of Armenia, where they later served as an IT Auditor and Internal Auditor. In 2019, they were promoted to Head of the Operational Risk Management Division. In 2017, Artak joined the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen as the Head of Internal Audit, a position they held until 2020. In 2021, they became the Internal Audit Manager at The Institute of Internal Auditors - Armenia. Additionally, Artak has been a Visiting Professor at the Armenian State University of Economics since 2020, teaching subjects such as "Internal Audit" and "Risk Management."
Artak Baghdasaryan has a diverse education history. In 1998, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a major in Economics and Management of Enterprises from the State Engineering University of Armenia. ARTAK then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2004. Additionally, from 2004 to 2007, Baghdasaryan earned a PhD in Economics from the State Property Management Department under the Government of the Republic of Armenia’s "Research Institute of Management and Economic Reforms." In 2010, they briefly attended Tufts University - The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in the USA, focusing on Public Policy and Public Administration.
Furthermore, Artak Baghdasaryan has obtained several certifications. In July 2020, they became Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) from ISACA. ARTAK also holds a COBIT 4.1 Foundation Certificate from ISACA - Information Systems Audit and Control Association. Moreover, Baghdasaryan obtained certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
