Yasmeen al-Sharaf

Yasmeen Al-Sharaf currently serves as the Director of Strategy & Financial Sector Development Directorate at the Central Bank of Bahrain, a position held since August 2005. In addition to this role, Yasmeen has also held titles such as Director and Head of the FinTech & Innovation Unit, as well as Superintendent of Licensing Research & Development. Prior to joining the Central Bank of Bahrain, Yasmeen worked as an Analyst at Bahrain Islamic Bank for a brief period in 2005. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Cambridge FinTech & Regulatory Innovation from the University of Cambridge in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Banking & Finance from the University of Bahrain, earned between 1999 and 2004.
