Ali Faramawy

Ali Faramawy is a board member at the Central Bank of Egypt. Ali was previously with Microsoft from October 1997 to May 2022, where they served as corporate vice president for digital transformation partnerships. In this role, they oversaw Microsoft's engagement with larger enterprises, governments and startups in both developed and emerging markets to boost subsidiaries abilities to craft and execute digital transformation partnerships with key customers.

Prior to their time at Microsoft, Faramawy served as head of pre-sales support and key account manager at NCR Corporation from January 1991 to December 1996. Before that, they were with Yokogawa from January 1996 to December 1997, where they managed Middle East operations.

Ali Faramawy has a certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD, an MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull, a B.Sc. in Computer Science & Automatic Control from Alexandria University, and a high school diploma from EBS.
