Ibrahim Mostafa

Assistant Sub Governor, Cyber Security at Central Bank of Egypt

Ibrahim Mostafa, PhD, currently serves as Assistant Sub Governor and Director of EG-FinCIRT at the Central Bank of Egypt, overseeing financial incident handling, SOC operations, infrastructure management, artifacts analysis, code review, and digital forensics since April 2018. Prior to this role, Ibrahim worked at the E-Signature Competence Center of ITIDA in various managerial positions, focusing on technical delivery and providing consultancy services for security data centers and PKI systems. Ibrahim’s earlier career includes significant contributions in systems architecture and information security at the Egyptian PKI Root Certification Authority and experience in software development and engineering roles. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Computer and Information Sciences from Ain Shams University, a Master’s in Information Systems from the Arab Academy of Science & Technology, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Ain Shams University.
