Mohamed El Ashry

Mohamed El Ashry is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in capital markets and debt management. Currently serving as the Head of the Money and Capital Markets Development Department at the Central Bank of Egypt since September 2019, Mohamed has also recently worked as a short-term consultant for the World Bank, focusing on government bond market development. Previously, in the Ministry of Finance, Egypt, roles included Head of Debt Capital Markets Development, Sovereign Debt Portfolio Manager, and Senior Financial Analyst from January 2012 to October 2019. Early career experience includes a position as an Assistant Auditor at KPMG. Mohamed is pursuing a degree in Capital Markets at The George Washington University School of Business and holds credentials from the CFA Institute.
