Eoin Sheanon

Policy Manager - Consumer Products And Services at Central Bank of Ireland

Eoin Sheanon currently serves as the Head of the EU Representative Office at the Central Bank of Ireland since April 2024. Previously, Eoin worked as the Irish Financial Services Attaché to the EU at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from September 2020 to April 2024. Earlier roles at the Central Bank of Ireland included Head of Policy Implementation in the Banking Supervision Division, as well as various analyst positions in the same division from March 2016 to September 2020. Eoin also served as an Economist for the Houses of the Oireachtas from June 2012 to February 2016 and worked as a Policy Advisor (ECON) for the European Parliament from September 2008 to May 2011. Eoin holds a Certificate in Financial Risk and Regulation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals, a Master’s degree in Economic Science and European Public Affairs from University College Dublin, and a Bachelor's degree in Law and German from University College Cork, following the attainment of a Leaving Certificate from Coláiste Eoin in 2002.
