Carlos Delgado has a diverse work experience in the financial industry and academia. Carlos has held various positions at Banco Central de la Rep. Dom., starting as an Auxiliary Technician in 2007 and progressing to roles such as Financial Analyst of Commercial Banking, Technical Advisor, and Deputy Director of Regulation of Financial System. In these roles, they were responsible for tasks such as financial analysis, research on financial regulation, and drafting laws and regulations for the financial system. Carlos also has experience in teaching as a Professor at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra and as an Instructor at Universidad Catolica Santo Domingo. Before entering the financial industry, they worked as an Assistant at Ricci, Frutas & Vegetales.

Carlos Delgado has a diverse education history. Carlos holds a Master of Science degree in Data Science and Financial Technology from the University of London, which they completed from 2020 to 2022. In 2011, they attained a Master of Science degree in Policy Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Carlos completed a Master's degree in Applied Economics from Universidad Catolica Santo Domingo in 2010. Their undergraduate studies were focused on Economics, earning him a Bachelor's degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo in 2008.

Historia El Banco Central de la República Dominicana fue creado el 9 de octubre de 1947, de conformidad con la Ley Orgánica No.1529, e inició sus operaciones el 23 de octubre del mismo año, instituyéndose como una entidad descentralizada y autónoma. En la actualidad se rige por la Ley Monetaria y Financiera. El órgano superior del Banco Central es la Junta Monetaria. Misión Garantizar la estabilidad de precios, la apropiada regulación del sistema financiero y el adecuado funcionamiento de los sistemas de pagos, actuando como ente emisor y ejecutor de las políticas monetaria y cambiaria, de acuerdo con las atribuciones que la Constitución y las leyes le confieren.
