Armando Ramirez

General Surgeon at Central Carolina Surgery

Dr. Ramirez is a native Texan and was born in San Antonio, TX, and raised to be fluent in Spanish. He did his undergraduate work at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. After receiving a Bachelor of Science with degrees in Biology and Chemistry, he was enrolled at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio Medical School and received his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Ramirez carried out his General Surgery residency training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis. Following his General Surgery training, Dr. Ramirez returned to San Antonio, TX to further his surgical training by completing an extra year of Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Texas Endosurgery Institute under the direction of Dr. Morris Franklin. Dr. Ramirez has obtained his American Board of Surgery certification. Dr. Ramirez surgical interests currently include a wide breadth of general surgery to include laparoscopic hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery, small bowel and colon surgery, gastric reflux surgery, endocrine and solid organ surgery.
