Rich Schweighart

Rich Schweighart is currently the Director of Analytics at Central Garden & Pet since August 2020. Prior to this role, Rich held the position of Senior Manager Data Science at the same company. Before joining Central Garden & Pet, Rich was the Head of Data Science at Interactive Health from January 2014 to June 2020. Rich also has experience working in E-commerce Analytics at Walgreens for a brief period in 2013. Rich has a background in engineering, having worked as an Engineer, Mechanical at Hamilton Sundstrand from 2008 to 2012. Rich holds a Master of Science in Machine Learning and Data Science from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. During their time at Northwestern University, Rich worked on projects related to rail delays and strategy recommendations with Pace Suburban Bus System, as well as creating a quote recommendation engine with Allstate Insurance.
