Perla Cavazos currently serves as the Interim President & CEO of Sendero Health Plans, recognized as Texas' highest-rated marketplace plan, and has been involved with Central Health in various capacities since July 2016, including Deputy Administrator and Vice President of Government Affairs. Previous roles include Director of Policy and Partnerships at the Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, where Perla spearheaded legislative outreach and policy initiatives. Perla held the position of Legislative Director in the Texas Senate from March 2013 to July 2015, directing the legislative agenda and advising on public policy. Early experience includes roles as Policy Analyst at the Texas Legal Services Center and the Texas Senate, as well as Community Relations Manager at EDCO Ventures. Perla's political involvement includes a notable campaign for Place One on the Austin City Council. Educational credentials include a BA in Anthropology from Stanford University and a Master of Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs.
