Mary Stanley has extensive experience in the legal and charitable sectors. Mary started their career in 1982 as a partner at Baker & Daniels, where they worked until 1998. In 2008, they joined the Central Indiana Community Foundation as the Director of Charitable Gift Planning and Legal Affairs Counsel, a role they currently hold.
Mary Stanley attended the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law from 1979 to 1982 and obtained a JD degree with a field of study in law. Prior to that, from 1975 to 1979, they studied at the University of Arizona and earned an AB degree in History. Central Indiana Community Foundation is a public charity that serves as a catalyst for progress and a supporter of community improvement. The Indianapolis Foundation and Hamilton County Community Foundation, then known as Legacy Fund, joined in 1997 to create CICF. Although each foundation continues to serve its own communities, being a member of aregional foundation allows it to benefit from strategic alliances and resources.
