Tom Abeel has extensive experience in performance management and data tracking across various community-focused organizations. Currently serving as the ETO Performance Coach at United Way of Central Indiana since February 2016, Tom Abeel previously held the position of Performance Management Coach at Central Indiana Community Foundation since June 2011, managing enterprise operations for multiple community centers and utilizing the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) tracking system. Earlier roles include ETO Administrator at John H. Boner Community Center from 2006 to June 2011 and Vice President of Marketing at JIST Publishing from 1989 to 2003. Tom Abeel earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bucknell University between 1966 and 1970.

Central Indiana Community Foundation is a public charity that serves as a catalyst for progress and a supporter of community improvement. The Indianapolis Foundation and Hamilton County Community Foundation, then known as Legacy Fund, joined in 1997 to create CICF. Although each foundation continues to serve its own communities, being a member of aregional foundation allows it to benefit from strategic alliances and resources.
