Michelle Soyer

Director Of Finance at Central Iowa Power Cooperative

Michelle Soyer has a diverse work experience. Michelle started their career as a CPA at Meriwether, Wilson & Company in 1988 and worked there until 1993. In 1994, they joined Central Iowa Power Cooperative, where they held various positions. Michelle began as a Controller, managing daily cash management, financial statement preparation, and annual budgeting. Michelle also played a key role in the selection and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics GP in 2014. Currently, they serve as the Director of Finance at Central Iowa Power Cooperative, a position they have held since February 2023.

Michelle Soyer obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. After completing their undergraduate degree, they earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in August 1988.

Later, Michelle pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business between 1996 and 1999. In 1995, they obtained a Certified Management Accountant certification from the Institute of Management Accountants.
