Dedicated Counselor For The Center For Student Inclusion & Diversity at Central Michigan University

Elizabeth Husbands is an experienced professional specializing in counseling, diversity, and program management. Currently serving as a Dedicated Counselor at Central Michigan University since January 2023, Elizabeth also has been a Program Manager at RISE Advocacy Inc. since August 2019, overseeing VOCA-funded programs for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. As a Trainer and Owner/Consultant at Diversity Works Consulting Services since 2011, Elizabeth delivers customized training on diversity and social justice while providing consulting services to organizations seeking to enhance their inclusion strategies. Previous roles include Team Leader for the Widening Advancements for Youth Program and Manager of the Equity Network at the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion. Elizabeth holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Andrews University.
