Lee Covington

Lee Covington, CAE, has extensive experience in the insurance and regulatory sectors. Covington has served on the Board of Directors for Central Insurance Companies since May 2014 and held leadership roles including President of the Reinsurance Association of America from September 2023 to October 2024, and President & CEO of The Surety & Fidelity Association of America from October 2018 to September 2023. Other notable positions include Secretary-Treasurer for The Surety & Fidelity Association Foundation and Senior Vice President, Government Affairs & General Counsel at the Insured Retirement Institute from March 2009 to September 2018. Covington's professional background also includes partnership at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, a directorial position at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and key regulatory roles within the Ohio and Arkansas insurance departments. Education includes a JD in Law from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a BSBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Arkansas.
