Qiana Williams, MA., MSc.

Qiana Williams, MA., MSc. has extensive work experience in education and community engagement roles. Qiana is currently employed as a Program Officer in the Community Investment Department at the Central New York Community Foundation since March 2022. From November 2020 to March 2022, they worked as an Education Program Consultant at the Community Folk Art Center. Prior to that, from April 2019 to March 2022, they served as a Humanities Educator at the Syracuse City School District-Hillside Partnership, and also worked as an iTutor Educator at iTutor.com Inc. from February 2019 to March 2022. Qiana has also worked as an Education Program Consultant at an undisclosed company from January 2019 to March 2022. Qiana previously worked as an Educator for Public Programs at the Asian Art Museum from November 2018 to January 2019, and as holiday help in spice production at OAKTOWN SPICE SHOP, LLC in November and December 2018. Before that, Qiana held the role of Curator of Public Programs at the Everson Museum of Art from July 2017 to August 2018. Qiana also worked as an Independent Curator and consultant for the Syracuse City School District from January 2016 to June 2017. Qiana began their career in 2002 at the Syracuse City School District Educational Foundation as a Humanities Educator, where they developed and instructed humanities curriculum in World & US History, coordinated service learning opportunities, and served as a club advisor for various organizations until June 2014.

Qiana Williams, MA., MSc. has an extensive educational background. In 1999, they enrolled at Syracuse University, School of Education, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Secondary Social Studies. Qiana successfully completed their studies in 2002. Afterward, they furthered their education at Syracuse University in 2007, obtaining a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Visual and Performing Arts with a focus on Museum Studies. Qiana's academic journey also extends beyond formal degrees, as they obtained a Secondary social studies teaching certification from the New York State Education Department in February 2003.
