Andy Biesterveld is an experienced Chief Engineer and Mechanical Officer who currently works at Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA). Andy leads capital projects and is responsible for capital planning, engineering, design, construction, and facility maintenance. Prior to their role at COTA, Andy worked at CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc. as a Project Manager, where Andy managed design and construction projects. Andy also has experience as a Project Manager at CSX and served in the US Navy as an Officer, leading sailors in various deployments and humanitarian efforts. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Naval Postgraduate School.
