Tim Sakahara

Tim Sakahara is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Assistant Vice President Corporate Communications Manager at Central Pacific Bank since March 2022. Prior to this role, Tim was the Communications Director for the City and County of Honolulu from February 2021 to February 2022 and held the position of Director of Communications at the Hawaii Department of Transportation from January 2015 to February 2021. Tim's earlier career includes various reporting roles, including Reporter/Anchor at HawaiiNewsNow, Reporter at KTXL Fox 40, and Reporter/Storm Chaser at KOCO Eyewitness News 5. Tim began in journalism as a Reporter/Photographer/Editor at KDRV NewsWatch and as an Internet Reporter/Assignment Editor at KNTV NBC Bay Area. Tim holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA.
