Carrie Couey

Secretary & Treasurer at Central Peninsula Hospital

Carrie is the Director of Administrative Services at Kenai Peninsula College the largest community campus in the University of Alaska system. Much of her 30 year career has been dedicated to workforce and economic development through rural small business commercial lending, vocational training programs and higher education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting information management from Alaska Pacific University as well as an associate’s degree in paralegal studies.

Carrie has been active in her community starting with cub scout pack secretary when her son was in elementary school. She has served on many local boards and volunteered for numerous events and activities. Carrie is the past president of the Kenai Rotary Club and Friends of the Kenai Library, past secretary Campfire of Alaska and former treasurer of the Kenai Peninsula Economic Development Resource Council. She earned the Kenai Chamber of Commerce’s “Volunteer of the Year” and Kenai Rotary Club “Rotarian of the Year.”

Moving to Alaska in 1984, Carrie spent the first 20 years in Anchorage before moving to the Kenai Peninsula. Carrie is an avid gardener, a novice bird watcher, and enjoys traveling to warm beachy locales.

Carrie is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, Chair of the Finance committee and on the Compensation Committee.
