Charles Mitchell, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Charles most recently served as the Executive Director Strategic Engagement at Central Piedmont Community College, where they were responsible for coaching and supporting students, developing recruitment plans, overseeing budgeting, and driving student success and engagement. Prior to that, they worked as the Presidential Fellow for Equity and Opportunity at the same institution. Charles also has experience as a Project Manager at myFutureNC and as a SACSCOC Peer Evaluator at the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. In addition, they served as the Manager of Teacher and Principal Recruitment at Baltimore City Public Schools and as a Doctoral Fellow at Alabama State University. Charles has also owned and directed My Brothers Keepers Scholars, where they provided project leadership and wrote grant proposals focused on education reforms and curriculum alignment.

Charles Mitchell, Ed.D. received their Doctor of Education - EdD degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Alabama State University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Georgia College & State University from 2009 to 2010. In 2003 to 2005, they earned their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Houston Christian University - Archie W. Dunham College of Business. Charles obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Tuskegee University, which they pursued from 1994 to 1998. Charles also holds additional certifications in Coaching and Developing Employees, Rules for Rising Leaders, and The Six Morning Habits of High Performers from LinkedIn, all obtained in the year 2020.
