Mike Daikubara

Mike Daikubara serves as the Vice President of Urban Sketchers, promoting a global community of artists engaged in on-location sketching. As an Art Instructor at Central Piedmont Community College, Mike teaches courses focused on Urban Sketching. Since 2019, Mike has operated as a self-employed art and design consultant, providing tailored guidance and innovative design solutions to clients. Previous roles include Design Manager at Electrolux Group, where Mike led design quality and cross-category alignment for major appliances, and Director of Brand & Design Development at Symmons Industries, overseeing product development initiatives. Mike's extensive design experience also encompasses positions at TOMY International, Philips Healthcare, Kohler Co., and Philips Design, with a strong emphasis on industrial design and collaborative project management. Mike holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and an MBA from Marquette University, among other qualifications.
