Brent Vankeulen

Brent VanKeulen has a diverse work experience in the field of firefighting and strategic advising. Brent is currently serving as the Deputy Chief at Central Pierce Fire And Rescue since December 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Fellow at Portland State University from June 2021. From 2020, Brent has been associated with the Western Fire Chiefs Association, where they initially served as Deputy Director (August 2020-November 2022) and is now working as a Strategic Advisor. Brent has also served as the Division Chief of strategic Iniatives at Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue for over two decades, from August 1998 to December 2019.

Brent VanKeulen has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Portland State University. Brent obtained this degree, but no specific start or end year is provided. In addition, Brent has attended the Harvard Kennedy School, where they completed a certification program called "Senior Executives in State and Local Government" in June 2017. Another certification Brent has earned is in Cybersecurity from the University of Washington. The certification, "CYB001x: Introduction to Cybersecurity," was obtained in May 2020. Furthermore, Brent has a certification in Paramedic from the Oregon Health Authority, which they obtained in June 2021.
