Central Texas Telephone Cooperative, Inc. is a nonpublic, member owned cooperative that serves as an incumbent local exchange carrier providing regulated landline telecommunications services in Central Texas. Cttc was established in 1951 to provide affordable telecommunications to the people in the rural areas of Central Texas. The Cooperative is a non-profit organization. When it began, the Cooperative had 614 members and provided dial tone. Now, the Cooperative has over 6,000 access lines and provides a wide array of telecommunications services.
