Education Service Center, Region 2
Mauro Sierra III is currently serving as a Social Studies Specialist at Education Service Center, Region 2 and as a Pastor at Apostolic Assembly. Mauro also works as an Adjunct Professor at Del Mar College, teaching History and Sociology. With a background in education and insurance, Mauro has experience as a High School Social Studies Teacher at various school districts and as a Life Insurance Specialist at Allstate. Mauro holds a Master of Science in Sociology, a Master of Arts in History, a Bachelor's Degree in History, and an Associate's Degree in English Language and Literature.

The Region 2 Education Service Center's mission is to be a catalyst for change resulting in student improvement, efficiency, and economy of operation. We promote educational excellence for all our students in which state and local initiatives are endorsed and implemented within the region. Every Region 2 district is provided both instructional and non-instructional assistance. The primary focus of our organization is geared towards student achievement which is achieved via offering relevant professional development for teachers, administrators, school board members, parents, and other clientele.
