Brian Asmus

Brian Asmus is the Director of School Safety & Security at Central Valley School District. Brian has over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, including serving as Chief of Police for the City of Liberty Lake for almost 10 years. Prior to that, they were a police officer for the City of Yelm for over 11 years. Brian has a strong commitment to keeping communities safe and has worked tirelessly to develop innovative strategies to protect students and staff. Brian is a respected leader in the field of school safety and security and has been recognized for their work by national organizations.

Brian Asmus's educational career includes earning a BA in Business from Pacific Lutheran University, an AAS in General Studies from Pierce College at Fort Steilacoom, and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Organizational Leadership from Patten University.

They are on a team with Marla Nunberg - Director of Communications, Lisa Bjorklund - Director of Business Services, and Mathew Knott - Director of Business Services. Brian Asmus reports to Benjamin Small, Superintendent.
