Jim Alvarez, MSM, LSSBB, FACHE, currently serves as Vice President of Support Services at The University of Vermont Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center, overseeing a wide range of operational areas including Central Sterile Processing, Supply Chain, and Nutrition Services since January 2018. Previously, Jim held the role of Vice President of Support Services at Trinity Muscatine, focusing on diverse functions such as Laboratory, Public Health, and Revenue Cycle from January 2016 to September 2017. An extensive career includes serving as Executive Director of Support Services at Harrison Medical Center for over 22 years, where responsibilities encompassed Facilities Engineering and Patient Advocacy. Early career roles highlight experience in food service management, including positions as Food Service Director at Intermountain Healthcare and Senior Food Service Director at Thomas Cuisine Management. Academically, Jim holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a BBA, alongside certifications in Lean Six Sigma.
