Nathan Newlon has over 20 years of work experience. In 2015, they began working as a Product Development Technician for Central Life Sciences. From 2006-2015, they worked as a Biological Science Laboratory Technician (Insects) for USDA-ARS. In this role, they conducted quality control bioassays for the U.S. Department of Defense. From 2003-2005, they worked as a Teaching Assistant and Plant Pathology Lab Teaching Assistant at Texas Tech University. In 2005, they also worked as a Fire Ant Survey Technician for Texas Tech University and the Texas Department of Agriculture. From 1997-1999, they worked as a Field Scout for Hunter/Long Consulting. From 1999-2003, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas Tech University, where they cared for red imported fire ant colonies and conducted initial field trials of Beauveria bassiana encapsulated pellets for biocontrol studies.
Nathan Newlon earned a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Pest Management from Texas Tech University in 1999, and a Master's Degree in Entomology from the same university in 2005.
