Ben Schnase

Ben Schnase has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and wireless communication. Ben is currently working as a Network Engineer at Centranet Fiber since November 2021. Before that, they were the owner of Action Consulting LLC, a network services company, from August 2009 to December 2021.

From July 2014 to February 2016, Ben worked as a SCADA Systems Engineer at SandRidge Energy, where they maintained a network of over 2000 wireless devices for oil and gas SCADA systems. Ben also collaborated with vendors for construction management and project implementation.

Prior to that, Ben served as a Wireless Network Engineer at Airosurf Communication from March 2014 to July 2014. Their responsibilities included ensuring customer connectivity and maintaining the backbone network using products from Mikrotik, Exalt, and Ubiquity.

From September 2010 to October 2013, Ben was a Regional Manager at Atlink Wi-Fi. Ben gained experience in various aspects of the wireless internet industry, starting from field work and technical support to managing outside re-sellers.

Before that, Ben worked as an Internet Sales & Marketing professional at Heller Enterprises from January 2005 to November 2009. Ben played a role in website updates, designed and managed new sites, and assisted in the roll-out of a new office network.

Ben's career started at St. Helens Computer Center in January 2003, where they worked as a Network and Hardware Technician. Ben gained experience in computer building and repair. Ben gradually engaged in more advanced projects, including database mergers and company-wide upgrades/mergers. Their interest in network processes and security grew during their tenure at St. Helens.

Ben Schnase received their education as follows: Ben earned a GED from Stanwood High School in the field of General Studies from 1993 to 1997. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager from Southern Nazarene University, attending from 2012 to 2014. Ben then continued their education at the University of Central Oklahoma, where they obtained a BS in Management of Information Systems from 2009 to 2012. Lastly, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from Oklahoma City University between the years 2015 and 2017.

As for certifications, Ben earned the following: Security+ from CompTIA in September 2013, MCTS from Microsoft in February 2013, A+ from CompTIA in November 2001, CCDA from Cisco in February 2014, CCNA from Cisco in June 2013, Juniper Networks Certified Associate - Junos (JNCIA-Junos), and Mikrotik certified network engineer. The months and years of obtaining the Juniper Networks Certified Associate - Junos (JNCIA-Junos) and Mikrotik certified network engineer certifications are not provided.
