Rebecca Shields

Rebecca Shields has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) York Region and South Simcoe Branch since 2012. During that time, she increased revenue growth and the number of clients served and initiated the Mobile York South Simcoe (MOBYSS) service, an RV retrofitted to become Ontario’s first mobile mental health clinic for youth. She is a mental health advocate, philanthropist, and committed community builder.

Previously, Rebecca served as the Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver Burnaby Branch, Executive Director of the Deafblind Services Society of British Columbia, Director of Development and Communication at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society, and has spent time as a Special Events Promoter. In 2012, she was selected as one of Vancouver's Top 40 under 40 for her many achievements in supporting the social fabric of her community and was among the winners of the 2016 Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 15th annual Women Worth Watching award.
