Shawnna Balasingham

Shawnna Balasingham is a seasoned clinical leader with extensive experience in mental health and addictions services. Currently serving as Clinical Director for Addictions and UHN Partnership at CAMH since October 2024, Shawnna previously held executive roles at Youthdale Treatment Centres and various interim clinical director positions at CAMH. Notable accomplishments include developing standard work procedures to enhance patient recovery activities and implementing training programs that improved staff competencies in behavioral therapies. With a strong background in managing community and outpatient mental health programs, Shawnna has successfully led initiatives to reduce wait times, expand access to crisis services, and integrate evidence-based practices. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and an Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
