Darren Cormack

Darren Cormack is an accomplished leader in the humanitarian and environmental sectors, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) since 2008, where significant contributions have improved the lives of over 20 million people across 35 countries. Cormack has held various strategic and advisory roles, including Director of Strategy and Government Relations at MAG, Head of Business Development and Government Relations at Lancaster University Management School, and Board Member at In Place of War, focusing on conflict-affected areas. Additional responsibilities include advising the Centre for Armed Violence Reduction and serving as a Non-Executive Director for Creative Support and Procure Plus, promoting social inclusion and employment opportunities. Cormack's extensive experience also includes humanitarian operations with Tearfund in Indonesia and Sudan, and environmental management consulting with Ricardo Energy & Environment. Cormack holds multiple degrees, including an M.Sc. in International Executive Management from Lancaster University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from South Dakota State University.
