Jukka Torikka

Jukka Torikka currently serves as the Head of Communications at ELY-keskus - Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment, a position commenced in August 2023. Prior experience includes public affairs work at the Finnish Defence Forces and management of communications for the City of Turku. A freelance reporter since 2009, Jukka has contributed articles on international issues, political developments, and book reviews. Previous roles encompass responsibilities as Communications Officer for the City of Kuopio and the UN Migration Agency, as well as a Press Officer at the Ministry of Education and Culture. Jukka's background also includes serving as an assistant to a member of the Finnish Parliament and positions at the Finnish embassies in Nicosia and Manila. Jukka holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Jyväskylä.
