Lisbeth Mattsson has extensive experience in various roles within the fields of education, immigration, and public administration. Since January 2010, Lisbeth has served as the Head of Immigration at the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for North Savo (ELY). Prior to this, Lisbeth held the position of Expert Evaluator for EU Project Proposals at the Finnish National Agency for Education from January 2009 to December 2023 and worked as a Senior Officer of Education at the Regional State Administrative Agency for Eastern Finland from 2007 to 2009. Additional experience includes serving as Acting Director/Advisor at the East Finland EU Office in Brussels and a Stagière at the European Commission’s EuropeAid Cooperation Office in early 2001. Lisbeth began a career in communications as a Radio Broadcaster at a regional radio station and as a Communication Officer at the Regional Council of South Karelia. Educational qualifications include an ongoing Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Eastern Finland, a Certificate in Educational Administration from the University of Joensuu, and a Master of Social Sciences degree from the University of Jyväskylä.
