Petri Nieminen

Petri Nieminen is a seasoned limnologist and water resources management specialist, currently serving at ELY-keskus - Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment since June 2021, where efforts focus on promoting dam removal projects in Southern Savonia. In addition to this role, Petri serves as Chairman of the Board for both Kiertokukko Oy and Jätekukko Oy. Previous experience includes project management in water safety, specialist roles in water quality data analysis, and environmental consulting related to extractive industries. Petri's educational background includes a Master's degree in Aquatic Sciences from the University of Jyväskylä, with ongoing studies at Aarhus University.
