Ville Salmio

Ville Salmio is an experienced geologist with a Master's Degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Oulu. Currently serving as a Senior Officer at ELY-keskus since July 2020, Ville oversees activities related to the Water Act and manages projects involving dredging, water area structures, and forest drainage. Previously held positions include Geologist, where responsibilities included supervising land extraction projects in compliance with the Land Extraction Act, ensuring sustainable environmental practices, and providing geological expertise for land use planning. Ville's prior experience encompasses roles as Project Geologist at Palsatech Oy, Junior Mine Geologist at Mondo Minerals, and various geologist trainee positions at the Geological Survey of Finland, focusing on drilling supervision, drill core logging, bedrock mapping, and mineralogical assessments.
