Lena Salach has held various leadership positions in the healthcare and education sectors, including roles as Director, Assistant Executive Director, and CEO (interim) at organizations such as the Centre for Effective Practice and the Ontario College of Family Physicians. Lena holds a MA in International Relations from Carleton University, a Certificate in Fundamentals in Volunteer Management from Humber College, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University.

The Centre for Effective Practice is one of the largest independent knowledge translation organizations for primary care in Canada.
