Nelly Montiel has a diverse work experience in the field of interpretation and translation. Nelly started their career as a Legal Clerk at the State of California Superior Court County of Madera in 2007, where they also provided Spanish interpretation and translation services. Nelly then ventured into entrepreneurship and owned their own cleaning business called Nelly's Clean Sweep from 2012 to 2016.

In 2013, Nelly joined CyraCom as an Interpreter, providing interpretation services over the telephone to various clients, including medical, insurance companies, credit bureaus, and hotels. Nelly worked there until 2016 when they transitioned to work as a Medical Interpreter at Hanna Interpreting Services LLC.

From 2016 to 2021, Nelly worked as a Freelance translator and interpreter, specializing in medical interpretation. Nelly provided interpretation services to organizations such as The Social Security Administration and the Department of Motor Vehicles, primarily working with Workman Compensation patients and doctors.

In 2016, Nelly also joined Stratus Video as a Spanish Video Interpreter. Nelly played a role in revolutionizing the way patients and medical professionals connect through technology-driven language access services and telehealth solutions. Nelly worked there until 2021 when they joined the Centre for Neuro Skills as a Spanish Medical Interpreter.

In 2021, Nelly also started working as a Medical Interpreter at CYRACOM INTERNATIONAL INC. However, their tenure with the company lasted until 2022.

Nelly Montiel obtained a Medical Interpreting Certification from California State University, Fresno in 2015. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Kaplan University from 2005 to 2008. In addition, they obtained a Certified Healthcare Interpreter certification from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) in May 2016.
