Warwick Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economics, policy research, and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as Research Director for the Wellbeing Government Initiative at the Centre for Policy Development since March 2021, Warwick also holds titles including Co-founder and economist at the Castlemaine Institute and Founding Director of the Castlemaine Community Investment Cooperative. Warwick's academic affiliations include being an Honorary Fellow and Research Economist at the University of Melbourne since 2011, focusing on macroeconomic forecasting. Previous roles include Senior Economist and Honorary Research Fellow at Per Capita Australia, Director at Endeavour Services Pty. Ltd., and Senior Threatened Species Officer with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Warwick's educational background includes a BA in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Melbourne and a BSc (Hons) in Ecology and Zoology from The Australian National University.
