Catherine Maven is an experienced workshop facilitator and instructor with a focus on English as a Second Language (ESL) and clear communication. With a tenure at TESL Ontario Workshops since 2007, Catherine has led various successful workshops aimed at ESL instructors, enhancing teaching methods and communication skills. Prior experience includes an employment counseling role at WorkPath, where Catherine supported clients through the job search process and facilitated career development workshops. Catherine also served as a regional reporter, photographer, and editor for the Hamilton Community News, covering diverse topics related to local government and community events. Catherine holds a Master’s degree in English from McMaster University and completed additional training at the Dundas Valley School of Art from 2005 to 2008.
