Sone Osakwe

Sone Osakwe is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international development and policy reform. Currently serving as a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa, Sone focuses on development policy reforms aimed at addressing income inequality, poverty reduction, and inclusive growth strategies. As an International Development Consultant with Global Development Advisory Services, Sone leads strategy initiatives and capacity-building workshops for policymakers and international donor organizations. Previous roles include Insights Manager at GSMA, where Sone engaged in research on the application of digital technologies in emerging economies, and Research Consultant at the Overseas Development Institute, contributing to public financial management improvements in low and middle-income countries. Sone has also held positions as a Fiscal Policy Adviser at Deloitte and an Auditor at Averti Professional Managers. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in International Development & Economics from the University of Bath and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
